Through Global Kids I have seen an extraordinary way of bringing global leadership and global issues in a really contemporary way to a new generation of young men and women.

Mark Malloch Brown,
UN Development Program

Led by an expert staff, Global Kids programs currently reach over 12,600 youth and educators each year and are made possible with the support of the members of our board and advisory council, funders, and partner institutions. In addition, our path-breaking online programs have reached millions of youth in over 100 countries.

The youth served by Global Kids' NYC-based programs represent the rich diversity of the New York City public school system. Most attend low performing schools and come from neighborhoods and ethnic groups that are largely underrepresented at U.S. universities, many professional spheres, and decision-making about public policy and international affairs.

Global Kids' programs are delivered by a team of highly skilled educators and administrators with extensive training and experience in education and international affairs. All program staff members hold college degrees or advanced degrees in international relations, education, social work, educational theatre, and many other subjects. They are fluent in French, German, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Farsi, Swahili and Greek, among other languages. Award-winning educator Carole Artigiani has served as the organization's Executive Director since founding Global Kids as an independent not-for-profit in 1993.

Global Kids' board of directors and advisory council are comprised of diverse leaders from a range of fields, including finance, law, media, public relations, government, and education, as well as two youth participants and one alum of our programs. Directors and advisors support the organization by providing oversight and strategic advice, helping to build organizational relationships, recruiting new members, and securing resources.
