Global Kids offers a range of training and technical assistance opportunities for both educators and youth and has established a strong track record in this area by providing services to scores of public schools within the NYC Department of Education, the Partnership for After School Education, WNET/Channel 13, and The After-School Corporation, among many others.

Professional Development for Groups Download our new Professional Development for Groups Brochure to learn about our various training packages in the areas of service learning, global citizenship, online games-based education, digital media, and creating caring school communities. Based on our experience and unique methodology, Global Kids has developed highly effective professional development programs to train educators to conduct challenging and rigorous activities that develop students’ understanding of global issues and the range of critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills that are imperatives to academic success, job readiness, and full civic participation. These services can also be customized to meet the specific needs of a school or organization.
Trainings for Youth Global Kids conducts special trainings for middle and high school students — ranging from a single day session to a year-long series of workshops—that educate participants about global issues and provide them with the knowledge and skills to work more effectively with their peers in areas such as conflict resolution, bias prevention, respect for diversity, and facilitation skills.
Global Kids also offers professional services to assist other organizations with the use of digital media and, specifically, the integration of virtual worlds and Second Life into their work. For more, visit our Online Professional Services section.
